About Me

My name is Della Wren (Laura Bungarz). I’m a mom to two kids and two dogs, and I live and work in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. I’m a writer, author, tarot reader, energy healer, and intuitive medium.

I came to spirituality through pain and heartache about 12 years ago. What began as a mental and emotional breakdown—or a spiritual awakening—changed the entire course of my life. I went from teaching computers to offering psychic readings, and slowly, into writing. I realized I had a lot to say and a message to share.

It wasn’t clear at first. My writing evolved as I worked through my own pain and trauma. My spiritual awakening led me to search for truth—not human truth, but universal truth. Over time, as I explored spirituality and philosophy, I came to my own conclusions about how life is meant to work.

I realized that human rules—morality, religion, and systems of reward and punishment—are broken lies. Philosophy offered glimpses of truth, but when philosophers tried to make their ideas work within human rules, the philosophies failed. I don’t believe the philosophies were the problem, it was the human rules. From that place, I created a vision for a society where those philosophies could actually work.

For me, it’s not about political activism or changing the world. It’s about offering people internal freedom, not external control. That’s where The Stillhouse was born.

The Stillhouse is both internal and external. Internally, it’s the place where you reconnect with yourself, find your own deeply buried truth, and reclaim stillness, peace, and joy. Externally, maybe one day it will be a physical retreat space and library, a place to sit, be with yourself, pull some cards, read a book, and spend time alone or in community.

I’ve created my own internal Stillhouse. Through my writing and offerings here, I hope you’ll find your Stillhouse within yourself too.
